A car had been set on fire in the car park, a number of windows at the pub were also smashed and petrol poured ththrough during the incident. "What pub" website dated 30 December 2021 stated that the pub is closed and partially boarded up, which was still the case in October 2024.   On 24 October 2024 a planning application, was verified by Leeds City Council " Demolition of existing building; erection of eight new dwellings on vacant land, including four terraced townhouses, two semi-detached bungalows and two detached bungalows; associated access, parking, hard and soft landscaping works". They were common here until around 1900. Licensees 1853 – John Helliwell, 1905 Sam Waterhouse. Change of ownership document dated 26 November 1812.   The pub was demolished in 1964.
